Lighthouse Island

Lighthouse Island:
Our Family Escape

Text and photographs by Bill Baker

Bill Baker, known widely for his work at Thirteen/WNET New York, owns Henry Island, a rugged 150-acre island off the coast of Nova Scotia. Although its 100-year-old working lighthouse is still the property of the Canadian Coast Guard, Baker and his family are the lighthouse keepers, and Baker's photographs and warm, anecdotal text illuminate his love for the task.
