Am Wisdom's Child

Am Wisdom's Child

Text by Liz Siva

In her first novel, Liz Siva takes the reader on an engaging, sometimes exciting, sometimes sentimental journey from despair to hope to ultimate success through her central character, Benjamin Jones, who we first meet as a struggling African-American child in Harlem. Befriended by a retired schoolteacher, he is set on a solid path to the future, which includes Harvard Law School, marriage, children, a position with an international organization, and ultimately a run for the White House. Ben approaches life with a directness and honesty that leaves the reader with the admonition to reject the negative and always imagine what can be possible.

Liz Siva resides in New York City.
